To be qualified for admission to the Master of Business Administration program you must:
- Have earned a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or higher
- Provide proof of English language proficiency
- Complete all required forms for admission and submit all required documents
General Admission Criteria for Postgraduate Students
- European three-year initial degree or a recognized equivalent of EQF/MQF Level 6.
- A foreign university degree from outside the EHEA that allows access to graduate studies in the country of origin.
- A minimum of two years full-time relevant professional experience post-graduation
To apply for our MBA program, you must show successful completion of your undergraduate studies from an accredited higher education institution. This should include your bachelor’s degree certificate and final academic transcripts including courses taken and grades achieved. There are no prerequisite subjects for our MBA Degree program.
In the absence of a Bachelor’s degree, you can apply with evidence of accredited professional experience of at least 5 years in the relevant sector. The documents that must be presented are (1) Employment history document (for example the Vida Laboral in Spain), except if your work experience was in a country where this document does not exist. (2) A signed company certificate that includes the start and end dates and the functions performed.
All documents must be issued in the English language, and bear the stamp and signature of an authorized university official. An official translation will be required for documents issued in any language other than English.
You must be fluent in English to participate and fully benefit from our programs.
These are the multiple ways to prove your proficiency in English:
- English as a native language.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL PBT): Minimum score 57.
- Internet-Based Test (iBT): Minimum score 61.
- International English Language Test (IELTS): Minimum score 6.0.
- Pearson Test of English Academic Score Report: Minimum score 44.
- Duolingo English Test: Minimum score of 95.
- 4-skill Michigan English Test (MET): Minimum score 53.
- Michigan Examination for the Certificate of Competency in English (ECCE): Minimum score 650/LP.
- Michigan Examination for the Certificate of Proficiency in English (ECPE): Minimum score 650/LP.
- Internal English level testing at Swiss School of Management Barcelona.
- Cambridge ESOL, Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) – Minimum score: C
- English as the language of instruction during previous studies in the formal educational system.
The student must have studied at least one year in classes taught in English. Taking classes to study the English language is not sufficient.
Your motivation level will determine your success as a leader. This also applies to your studies at Swiss School of Management Barcelona and your future or current professional career.
Your statement of purpose is your Motivation Letter telling us about your background, experience, why you have chosen to apply for the program, why you consider yourself a good candidate, and your future professional goals. Your statement should be at least 300 words in length in essay format.
Someone who is able to comment on your academic or professional performance should write your letter of reference. This can be a professor who has taught you or a current / ex-employer if you have work experience. The letter should include the referee’s relationship with you, how long they have known you, your abilities, and why they consider you a suitable candidate for the program. Your reference letter should also include the contact details of your referee.
If you are an EU citizen, you can apply with a valid national ID card. If you are a non-EU citizen, you must apply with a valid international passport valid for the duration of your program. You will need to send a scanned copy of the data page of the document in color.
Your Curriculum Vitae (CV) should be a summary of your accomplishments and responsibilities over the years. It should be clear, concise, and complete with up-to-date and verifiable information about your education, employment history, and unique abilities. Your CV must be submitted in English.
There is a nonrefundable application fee of 200 Euros to offset the cost of reviewing applications.
The Application Fee is part of the total tuition fee indicated herein.
We have a continuous enrollment cycle all year round. We review applications and conduct interview to potential high-caliber students and assist them with inquiries for their year of study.
Our annual intake starts every month of October, January and April..
Upon submission of the academic requirements, an application Fee of 200€ will be invoiced and the Academic Council will review the students’ credentials, subject to due diligence. The Registrar will contact the student’s school to authenticate the submitted documents. Once everything is verified, the Acceptance letter is issued, and the student will be scheduled for an interview with the Dean.
After successfully completing the admission interview, the Dean will recommend to the Academic Council the student`s eligibility for admission to the Swiss School of Management. Once approved, an acceptance letter will be provided, containing instructions on where and how to make the necessary payments.
Once the student confirms receipt of the Acceptance Letter, we request payment of the 1st tranche of the tuition fee (4,600€). The student will receive detailed instructions via email regarding the timing and process for making the payments. Once payment is confirmed, we can issue the Enrollment certificate.
Attendance at the orientation day is mandatory for students, whether on campus or online. During this session, students will be introduced to the program`s academic requirements and become familiar with the Swiss School of Management system.
